Our synergy with their mission was critical in our being selected as the Distributor for Brodit in Australia/New Zealand/Singapore more than 10 years ago. How it all started... Back in 1983 Ebbe Johansson was a taxi driver in Sweden. One day as he was pulled over on the side of the road, digging out his 1983 version of a mobile phone (brick...), he determined to find an easy way to have the receiver installed, close to the driver’s seat, for easy and comfortable use. After considerable experimentation, the ProClip was born. There have been thousands of different models and solutions produced for vehicles since the beginning, with the factory continually expanding and production methods updated with new technologies. At least once a year the Brodit technicians visit us in Australia to measure new Australia-specific dash boards for ClicOn car mounts. The ProClip, or ClicOn car mount, remains the global market leader for mounting comms equipment in vehicles today. In addition to the ProClip mounts, Brodit also produces a range of holders for smart phones such as Apple iPhone, HTC and Blackberry, mobile phones, Apple iPad and iPod, GPS devices such as Garmin, TomTom and NAVMAN and tablet touch screens. Brodit earned ISO 9001:2008 status in February 2009. |
